Leaf: Chapter 2

In their quest for knowledge and purity, the humans built vast structures of institutions and libraries to educate their young for the quest. Over time, a new breed appeared, they had skills which where suited to serve the quest, gradually these people gained names, such were, Rangers , Mages and Fighters, these skills although could be acquired, many commoners did not bother to learn and educate themselves, those who did however, found that their skills could not match in talent with those born with it. Thus, naturally the task of defending the human kingdom fell onto the breed of the gifted ones. Such was that soon, specialized schools were set up.

One such member of the instutions, stood in the garden, his black hair matted with sweat from standing under the burning sun for an hour. The name on his tunic identified him as a member of St Gras institution, his name, which was sewn under the school’s name, was Raymond Chine. He stood up to his full height, looking around. He could sworn that he heard voices. Just as he was about to make a reference of the plant he saw to the book he held in his hand, a full force tackle knocked him off his feet from behind. Dazed he turned over to see who his attacker was, it was Norn, a eighteen year old who had been trailing him for the past two days. Although Norn was older than himself by to years, but by his size, he could easily have been a twenty year old.

By the look of Norn’s and his henchmen’s faces, Raymond knew that they weren't amused by his game of hide and seek.
