The shepherd rose up from his grass bed, and advanced towards the door, a portal outside, out of his primitive home. His sheep were scampering into a fenced area, looking for shelter from the downpour. He noticed slight movements on a cliff not-so-far, and when he almost lost interest, he saw a speck of light on the edge of the cliff. The light proceeded to ascend into the skies.
There was the distant sea below the cliff, in clear sight but slightly fogged out by rain, and waves ebbed to and fro in the shore. Still curious about the source of the cry, he ventured out by himself. The raindrops started splashing on his body. His feet shuffled along the grass, gathering slight mud. The shepherd looked in the direction of the cliff as he walked, seemingly oblivious to the rain.
A few minutes passed and the rain subsided, slowly and steadily. The shepherd's feet felt moist soil every step they took, the rain had been absorbed into the soil.
